elo.now keeps family, friends, communities and teams in separate Spaces, so their conversations stay in context.
CHATS THAT STAY ORGANIZED
Create or join a Space by invitation QR or link. Owners can require approval, manage members and invitations, and set an invitation expiry. Use channels for shared topics and direct or group chats for smaller conversations. Reply in threads, react, pin messages and search your history.
CALLS WHEN YOU NEED THEM
Start voice or video calls from a conversation. Choose whether to receive incoming calls in the background; mute a chat to quiet its alerts. On desktop, share your screen when you choose to. Call controls let you mute your microphone, speaker or camera.
SHARE FILES, STAY IN CONTROL
Attach a file or photo up to 5 MB. The app encrypts it on your device before upload and downloads it on demand. Hosted Spaces have separate storage limits for messages and attachments. You can cancel a transfer in progress.
CATCH UP WITH BUZZ
Buzz gathers unread messages. Mute a conversation to keep it out of Buzz and quiet its message notifications. Block a person to hide their content and stop direct contact on your device. Optional system notifications lead back to the relevant conversation.
KEEP WHAT MATTERS
Pin messages, set reminders and switch Spaces without mixing their contacts or conversations. Choose light or dark appearance, colors, a background motif or one you draw yourself, and the interface size that suits you.
RECOVERY AND PRIVACY
Your profile uses a local password and supports biometric unlock on compatible devices. Save your recovery code or protected QR to restore your identity. An optional encrypted backup can restore supported profile and message data; attachment bytes are not included, and older messages may be omitted to fit its displayed size budget.
Messages are encrypted on your device for authorized participants. Servers store encrypted objects and delivery metadata. The General enrollment service is an authorized participant in that channel. Authorized recipients can keep copies of what they receive. The app source is available for independent inspection.
The app and current publisher-operated hosting are free at launch. You can create up to 2 hosted Spaces per creator identity. Each hosted Space includes 150 MB of encrypted message storage and a separate 50 MB encrypted attachment quota. The interface is in English.
