About this app

Learn Thai with flashcards that time every review for you. ThaiCards is a Thai flashcard app built on spaced repetition. It shows you each Thai word right before you would forget it, then brings it back until it sticks. Ten minutes a day is enough.

Every card has Thai script, romanization, English and pronunciation audio, with tone guidance. You can start on the Thai language before you can read a single letter.

Spaced repetition flashcards
- An FSRS scheduler plans your reviews, so study time goes to the words you are about to lose.
- Tap to flip between Thai and English. Swipe right when you know it, left to keep studying it.
- A daily queue sized to about ten minutes, with streaks and review stats.
- Undo and difficulty grading are built in.

Learn the Thai alphabet
- A 44-consonant deck teaches the Thai script letter by letter, with its name word (ก ไก่, ko kai, chicken) and its consonant class.
- Learn to read Thai at the same pace as your vocabulary, not as a separate chore.

Thai vocabulary that people actually say
- Word Explorer holds thousands of common Thai words by category: basics, food, drinks, travel and more.

ThaiCards is an independent app, built by someone who splits time between the US and Thailand and married into a Thai family. It is updated often. If something is broken or confusing, email the developer and a human will answer.

ThaiCards Premium is 1.99 USD per month and renews automatically until you cancel. The free tier includes the Beginner Starter deck, the first 10 letters of the alphabet deck, the street food situations and a sample of Watch mode. Premium opens every Thai deck, the full alphabet, every Situations set, the rest of Watch, saved words and custom decks. You can cancel any time from Settings in the app or in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your access continues through the end of the period you have paid for.
