Every day, you read a handful of articles and assume you know what happened. But every outlet decides what to emphasise, what to leave out, and how to frame it, and you rarely find out until you compare. Most people never do, so they only ever get one version of the story.
Clarrus fixes that. We track 100+ news sources across the political spectrum, cluster their coverage of the same events, and use AI to show you where left, centre and right-leaning outlets agree, where they diverge, and what each side is emphasising or leaving out.
WHAT YOU GET
• Story clusters: every major story with coverage from left, centre and right-leaning outlets side by side
• Bias breakdown: see at a glance how coverage splits across the spectrum for every story, with our signature three-colour bias bar
• AI analysis: consensus view, framing comparison, and points of disagreement for each story, generated fresh as coverage develops
• Daily audio brief: an AI-narrated morning summary of the top stories across all perspectives
• Personalised feed: follow the topics you care about, filtered your way
• Saved stories: keep anything for later
• Breaking news alerts: optional notifications when major stories break
HOW IT WORKS
Clarrus is algorithmic, not editorial. Stories are selected and clustered by semantic similarity, not by human curation, and our analysis engine does not take political positions. Bias lane assignments are based on independent media bias research, and our analysis always shows its sources: every claim links back to the original reporting.
Free accounts include the full feed, bias breakdowns on every story, and 3 complete AI analyses per day.
If you've ever wondered what you're not being told, or what the other side is reading, this is the app.
