The app is good and provides a convenient mobile tuner. I think it used to be simpler and used to jump automatically to the note you are closest to tuning to especially if it was a predictable pattern. Like standard pattern guitar strings. Now you have to manually scroll through the notes to find the one you're trying to tune to. it makes it more generically useful, but list specifically convenient to me.

Introduced ads and trackers for no reason. I've had this app for years and they've never changed anything, now this. I would have tolerated ads since I've gotten so much use from it, but there's no way to deny trackers. It just keeps repeating the request with the option to accept or deny. This is a friggin frequency analyzer, you don't deserve my personal info.

Bryan, please update the app, and read the text shown before/after Google's Consent Dialog: 1. I do NOT collect PI (Google does), 2. you can disable personalization (follow the instructions in said text; Google makes this intentionally difficult). 3. you can disable ads altogether for the price of a beer. Or, just rate 1* as a thank you note. ;)

i've been using this tuner for as long as i can remember and have never had a single issue, never been bombarded with ads to the point it's unusable, and most importantly, never been gaslit into leaving a review like some other apps do every single time you open them. gstrings has always been there when i needed a reliable tuner. finally today it asked after all these years, even acknowledging i've been using it for a while. 10000 out of 10, have definitely already recommended to others.
