About this app

gStrings is a chromatic tuner application measuring sound pitch and intensity. This is the ad supported version.

It will let you tune any musical instrument (violin, viola, violoncello, bass, guitar, piano, wind instruments, your own voice/singing).

Features include:

Great tuner app! Works better than any stand-alone digital tuner I've used. Very good at picking up the string I'm tuning without getting thrown off by background noise. Simulated analog and digital display at the same time allow me to dial in pitch to a fraction of a cent. Also can tune chords well. Most importantly, no pop-up or overly distracting ads!

Incredibly accurate and useful. Can choose different namings of notes in other countries (though i don't change that setting but for review's sake), various other settings for string pitches, octaves, etc. I love that you can have it listen for the note and even play it monotone through the speaker, along with the dial for how close to the shown note it is. Wonderful tuner and it's not only useful for tuning guitars but when i compose to get the note in my head for the score. Totally recommend!!

Introduced ads and trackers for no reason. I've had this app for years and they've never changed anything, now this. I would have tolerated ads since I've gotten so much use from it, but there's no way to deny trackers. It just keeps repeating the request with the option to accept or deny. This is a friggin frequency analyzer, you don't deserve my personal info.
