About Luther’s Small Catechism

The Small Catechism explores the Six Chief Parts of Christian Doctrine: the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, Confession, and the Sacrament of the Altar. It also includes daily prayers, a table of duties for Christians, and a guide for Christians to use as they prepare to receive Holy Communion.

Ratings and reviews

The free version is good, in that you get the whole LCMS translation of the Small Catechism right there on your phone, for free. If you pay for the explanation stuff, you get that, too... sometimes. For a long time, I couldn't get the app to recognize that I had paid for access to the paid features. I can get that to work now, but sometimes I have to remove and reinstall the app. At least it does work, even if it takes some persuasion.

this app is absolutely wonderful and amazing. unfortunately I'm only giving it four stars because of a new phone which does not play nice with this app. I have a Google pixel 10 pro and unfortunately the apps s hamburger menu at the top left is not accessible on a Google pixel 10 because that is also where the status bar for the Android is. on all my other devices. this is a very wonderful, exceptional and amazing app. I Hope the devs see this and get in touch with me about testing a fix.

I recently had a problem when I accidentally uninstalled it and when I re-installed, the explanation wasn't there. I contacted support who were very helpful in restoring the explanation... thanks Jordan! Very impressed with app and the prompt support, would definitely recommend.
