Ratings and reviews

This is a great app for a reasonable monthly fee. The full size Lutheran Study Bible is too large and heavy, and the compact version is handy, but the font is way too small, (understandable due to the immense amount of great notes). So, this app is the best of both worlds.

The app is nicely designed and has worked without glitches. On a phone, it's easy to read and pull up footnotes. On a tablet, the verses are presented side-by-side with the footnotes. But it doesn't rotate on my phone and I wish it did; my other Bible app does rotate. I've got an aversion to subscriptions. So, while $10 a year isn't much, I'm not sure I need two ESV Bible on my phone as well as my physical copy of the Lutheran Study Bible.

After using it on two platforms -andriod (phone) and apple ios- the apps sync together well. All my highlights and notes. Unfortunately, I need a subscription for both operating systems, but I can't complain for only $10 a year. I should be giving 5 stars for it for the synchronization, but I am only giving 4 stars cos I need more than 3 highlight options. The Lutheran high school I am called to are discussing on using this app for the students, and we all agree we need more than 3.
