'Connection Failed'. I paired my laptop to my phone via Bluetooth, it paired successfully. I open up Libreoffice Impress Remote and chhose my laptop. After that, nothing happens. It shows an error. 'Make sure you've enabled remote control Impress>Tools>Options>General enable remote control'. I've enabled the option and restart libreoffice. It still doesn't work like the video you've shown. I am running Xperia Z2 5.1.1, my laptop is Windows 8.1. Libreoffice Impress version 4.4.5.2 on Windows8.1. I'll edit this comment to inform if everything worked out.

Why it not noticed if the remote presentation feature and experimental feature was enabled you must restart the Libreoffice? that make confused the users if you not noticed that! By the way, It's work on me! so I should not buy a wireless mouse or wireless remote presentation :p

Gives connection error over Bluetooth. Everything else has no problem connecting to the PC over Bluetooth. Over WiFi it allows you to create link and enter code on the PC side but then it just crashes. Zenfone 3 running Android 7

Works on Linux and Windows XP (after enabling Remote Control in Impress General options AND allowing program to communicate through firewall) and is awesome. However, for Windows 7 and 8 laptops, this app fails to finds computers or unable to connect to specific IPs on the network; always reports "Connection failed". Tried app on iPad mini as well as Android 4.4 cell. Tried disabling firewall altogether in Windows 7 and Windows 8 machines and even specifying the IP address of the computer running Impress but the app still can't find the computer! Great app but not workable for me in Windows 7 or 8. Running LibreOffice 5.1.3 on Windows. Does anyone running Windows 7 or 8 have the same problem? anyone with a solution? Need it to work on Windows 7 or 8!!!

What's wrong woth this app? I enabled the remote control in the L.O. Impress already but it keeps on telling "connection failed". I'm sure that the problem is not on bluetooth because its working fine. Improve this please.

I used to carry extra long VGA and USB cables so that I could position my laptop on a rostrum and to one side of a presentation. No longer so! Thank you Impress Remote. I recommend just using a hand held lasar pointer and don't give up on Bluetooth connection problems - it does work! My own problems with Bluetooth are due to a poor laptop and not this App. For large auditoriums or where the Bluetooth range is poor, definitely set up a WiFi connection. Now my laptop can be wired and left close to the data projector, and I just stand nearby, tablet in hand. Much better for audience attention as I can move about. Highly recommended. Improvements? Better resolution for the notes on handheld devices would be nice, but not essential. For some reason hidden slides in a presentation are shown by this App, the workaround is easy - save and use an abridged presentation.

It works amazingly! I have used LibreOffice Impress Remote at least on one professional occasion: It helped me deliver a smooth presentation! I would've never guessed my HUAWEI Honor smartphone could become a darling slide-show remote control...
Doesn't work at all. Tried many times BT and WiFi, always writes that connection can't be established. Samsung SM-P601 and Win 8.1 =(
Works perfectly! Had to restart LibreOffice after changing the settings but after that it works perfectly. Does exactly what I need. Laser pointer doesn't work but I don't use it anyway.
Works great! Took a little time to setup. Had forgotten to close all libreoffice applications and restart presentation, and it works like a charm now. Great app!
Idea is good but.... Not able to connect on WiFi. Please help. I am using ubuntu 14.04 OS on laptop and mi4i mobile.
Next Slide The app should have the ability to view the current and next slide as well as notes like presenter view on MS PowerPoint.
Works perfectly! With very useful features such as notes, presentation browser, and laser pointer. A drawing tool could be a nice touch as well.
WiFi or Bluetooth did not work on any windows computer I tried. Useless
Works really well. Fast, smooth. Is it possible to get the presentation to go full screen (not showing notes) on the tablet?
Works great! I love that I can connect over Bluetooth and control my presentation. This app is really well done
INSTANTLY CRASH when connecting to my laptop, I am running at android nougat 7.1.2
It works I had to restart LibreOffice then it worked. Very well done. The timer and being able to jump to slides are very useful features.
It rocks!!! It's working great so far. Now I can control my presentations while teaching with a single tap on the phone. It's compatible with Linux as well! wow!!
Excellent remote control for impress presentations. Just loved it. I use this for pairing with Arch Linux. Works perfect for both -- Bluetooth & Wi-Fi.
I loved this app, however since my upgrade to nougat, it crashes upon connection to laptop. Hope it will be solved.
I used this tools in one of my presentation and it work like charm.
Thanks, appreciate it This worked well for me on linux wifi. However one quibble about the UI. I would like to see the timer displayed in detail at all times and remove the "NOTES" heading. I know they are my notes, you don't have to tell me and I want the screen space. I would also love functionality where I could set times starting a specific slide. (i.e. save a time to a slide such that when I get to it stops the previous timer and starts a new timer).
It works! It works, but I get random crashes whenever I rotate my device (it's on auto-rotate). And how does laser-pointer mode work? I can activate it, and it shows me a different screen but I don't see it working. No "laser" at all. Also tried to search for additional information on this issue, but I haven't found any.
works great for LAN connected devices too unlike some proprietary office suite it provides control over WLAN as well as bluetooth. Would like to see it extended for pdf presentations too.
Excellent! Quick, smooth and easy - it's hard to fault. It would be nice to have a built in pointer and a constantly visible preview slide, and it would help if the pane view started from or at least included the current slide, but it's still an outstanding app. It's got a pointer now!
Superb Works great on windows. I tried to use the WiFi feature in Linux but failed. Bluetooth works fine.
It beats MS Office This is just awesome. Only this product should be enough for everybody to remove proprietary MS Office and use Libreoffice
