Haven't been able to connect at all. Phone app says Connection Failed. The instructions on the app to enable the remote and totally different from the instructions on the Wiki and other online sources. App says to enable remote from Tools, Options, Impress, General, but there's no mention of the tennis there to enable. The remote setting is under Slide Show Settings, like it says online. Ours is enabled, but still won't connect.

Great idea but it didn't seem to work for me. my phone is a compatible version of android, my phone was connected via Bluetooth but the app couldn't have a successful connection. The remote control was enabled in libre impress. If I'm doing something wrong I can't problem shoot it

EDIT: Settings were moved to Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings in newer versions of Libreoffice. It's a little buggy, but works. It seems to take a while for slides other than the first one to load/update over Bluetooth. Wifi seems to work better. I think this might be a limitation of Bluetooth though, not the app.

The feature is still available. The checkbox to enable it from within Impress has been moved to "Slide Show" -> "Slide Show Settings", Section "Remote control". It's just the documentation hasn't been updated yet, which is tracked in this bug report: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160382

What’s new

Version 2.6.1 (v30):
* update translations
* remove text suggesting that experimental options have to be enabled in LibreOffice, that has not been the case since at least 7.3.0
* bump targetSDK to comply with store requirements
