edit: still cannot log in. absolutely wild. non-functional after years of stability. I updated to the new UI and despite the jarring changes I thought I would give it a shot except for the fact that I cannot log in? I click the button, get taken to a webpage, sign in and authorize the app, and... nothing? shame.

We’re sorry you’re experiencing login issues. Some users have reported that switching their default browser (for example, to Firefox) can help resolve webpage authorization problems. If you continue having issues, please share more details in the Lichess forum, to help us investigate.

I like it! You guys did a good job with the remake. Much cleaner and such. Fix a few UI bugs like tooltips showing up off screen, make it easier to resume games (including with the computer) and have multiple games and so forth, and give me more control and let me do what I want from any screen. Stuff like that. Then I'll give it 5 stars. Love the practice mode, where it critiques stuff!

The UI I could care less about, but the AI has been drastically overhauled, at least at the lower levels. I'm a beginner who is learning through practicing vs the computer and I was getting to the point where I could beat Stockfish 3 on the old app about 60% of the time. Stockfish 3 on the new app is a cakewalk, making a ton of blunders, but also plays unreasonably aggressive, so I decided to try 4, which plays a very unorthodox, aggressive style which feels very bad for learning.
