definitely a good app for scanning your device to check for malware. the issue with it is how intrusive and frequent its notifications can be, constantly advertising and portraying your phone as if it's in danger, trying to scare you into purchasing the premium version. I do think the premium is worth it, but the way they go about trying to push it on people is obnoxious and ruins the feel of the app. beyond that, more recent updates to the app have made database updates quite a bit slower.

My only issue with Malwarebytes for Android is the app should scan in the background, even after the phone screen has faded off to conserve battery life. Edit for clarity: battery drain isn't the issue. The scan does not continue in the background when the screen goes dark, it stops. The screen has to be manually kept open for Malwarebytes to complete its scan on an Android phone.

Seems good - but maybe it's just me being careful? other software in this category rates two or three stars at best. My main complaint is the panic attack the app has every time it decides that a scan should be done - why can't it quietly whisper "time for a scan," instead of screaming "your device has ISSUES!"? Fortunately, it allows nags about developer options to be ignored, since "show taps" is a critical option for me.
