Cutting edge BETA browsing. Expect the occasional issue. This is my default android browsing app. I prefer the beta version so I can use new features and improvements as soon as possible. As this is a beta I expect hicups now and again with crashes and unexpected behaviour and can report such issues. I like the tabbed browsing UI style and the add-ons ability which allows the use of 3rd party functionality. Sometimes I get a brief hang but often find now that the app recovers on its own instead of crashing.
Great Browser I had zero problems with this beta version of Firefox so far. Sync works nicely AND actually respects your privacy! Reader mode makes content on cluttered pages finally readable on mobile. AND most of all, there are add-ons for ad blocking and tracking protection!
Nearly unusable on tablet since update Ever since this updated on my tablet, this browser has become almost unusable. Unless I zoom in on a page and then scroll down in order to hide the tab bar, the tab bar completely covers the top of the page. For example, on Google, the search bar is completely hidden even when I pull the page down as far as it will go. This also results in touch events been incorrectly logged when the tab bar is visible. Touches are registering higher than where I actually touch. For example, if there are 2 links on top of one another and I attempt to touch the bottom link, the top link will open instead, and if I try to open the top link, nothing will happen. This behavior disappears when I zoom in and make the tab bar disappear. Please note that this behavior is ONLY affecting my tablet and is not observed on my phone. Please fix this!
Have an option to directly refresh on the screen (pull down like Gmail & Chrome) instead of having to go into the menu THEN tap refresh. Can't re-organize bookmarks & they get shuffled randomly. Also, how about adding an option to print on the same wifi network as the device similar to Chrome? Update (change log) in description would be nice.
Good, but... ...makes the device hot, when browsing. Shouldn't use that much power, that it gets hot.
For a beta version this works exceptionally well. It's fast, reliable and so far I prefer this experience than Chrome's.
