Made for all levels of Japanese learners.
Beginner Japanese learners (JLPT N5) can start with basic greetings, and gradually move to more complex sentences, with lots of repetition to help you retain what you learn throughout the course. Start off with romaji reading aids for hiragana and katakana and hide it when you’re ready.

Intermediate Japanese learners (JLPT N4 and N3) can begin reading more elaborate stories while learning to use Japanese grammar in context. Hide furigana or use difficult words only to gain confidence with reading kanji.

Ratings and reviews

There's translations at the top to look up the meaning of the word, particle or sentence which is really helpful. It also uses kanji from the level of learning your at, so it's easier to understand. One thing I dislike is that verb conjugations and negative verbs aren't explained, only the dictionary form is shown. When I come across these words, I leave the app to search up why. I wish the translation said something if it's negative, or why the verb is desired (conjugation). Overall, great app!

I enjoy using this app a lot. The number one drawback for me personally is that you can't pick and choose which words show furigana, it's either all, none, or let the app choose which ones to show for you, which is pretty inconsistent. But aside from that, I think being able to quickly translate either a single word or a full sentence as needed is perfect for learning. Will probably resubscribe later when I can read the more advanced stuff

No intrusive ads, UI is sleek and easy to use, and the stories are all interesting and suited to each level of proficiency. I bought a subscription so I could access more content, but there's still a decent amount for free users. I have two suggestions that would make this five stars in my book: (1) being able to add words to your saved list manually by typing them in. (2) being able to make separate groups of kanji to organize them for better studying.
