The app is average; not great, not bad, but what I love is how promptly the staff respond to issues and that they keep your ticket open until your issue is resolved. App wasn't compatible with my phone back in January ; it's sin email been updated and I was sent an email today letting me know that I could use it now. Really great support.
Aside from the random crashes, the app seemingly has had widgets removed. Only 1 widget remains, full of branding and unessesary junk. Thy say it's resizable, which it is but that just hides the balance as the logo is WAY more important. Developers have a hatred of the standard back button, frustrating users by forcing users to use the tiny X. No NFC or Android Pay is a lazy and greedy strong-arm tactic which disadvantages consumers. Just when the app improves, it breaks again.
After newest update, error message continually shows stating capacity for NFC services reached. Please provide update with a fix as it is currently draining battery rather quickly. Will be uninstalling app until then. 31/03 issue now fixed
Better if we had: Samsung/Android Pay support + clear defined design vision that aids in the user experience should be prioritised. "Streamlined" and more logical navigation of the app e.g. use of swiping gestures from edge of display like on iPhone and appropriate use of back button.
I used the tap and pay on here, 2 times, and it worked. I then tried doing it other times, and the stores eftpos machine reads error first and then tells me to swip or insert card. The eftpos machine is a paywave eftpos machine. I do not know if the machine is the problem or the app. Otherwise. Sturdy app. Love it- however wish it was faster. And it took too long for this app, like many others, to match the same updates as apple. Andriod is not worse than apple. So i do not see why you guys take so long to match the speed of updates. To give you an example, the apple app for this app had fingerprint for more than 5 months. I am getting it now. Which is ridiculous.
As you seem to read your reviews and reply, I thought I'd write here: 1) It's good you read this. 2) The "Tap & Pay" icon disappears randomly and you have to reinstall the app to get it back. 3) The lack of integration of the back softkey is poor. Android has a softkey, use it (don't make us feel like we're using an iCrap device, it's lazy coding not to use it). 4) AndroidWear has been around for a while, plan on supporting that anytime soon? (Again, the iCrap thing). 5) I'll add one more thing. Consistency. Sometime the "close" button is on the left, other times it's on the right. It give a hotchpotch feel about it (again, it feels like lazy coding). You can have an "okay" app or a well coded polished app to make other banking apps look ordinary. Aim for the best you can do, not the "it'll do" mindset.
