The app has been working fine for years until 2 days ago when Android updated. It's telling me my phone is rooted so certain features are blocked... Um, NO, my phone is not, nor has never been rooted or altered in any way. This app however, has not had an update since earlier this year, 2+ Android official updates ago... No other bank or website had this issue. I've wiped data, cleared cache, factory reset, thinking my phone was the problem but it seems to be an app specific issue.

When I clicked on SMCU logo in my phone, the message I got was to update the app before trying to go further. I clicked on update and have been waiting for the app to stop circling before I can click on open. It doesn't want to connect. I do not live close to any of the branches and the mobile app would have been a convenient way to check my account information. The app has finally given me the open update, but it's frustrating when apps refuse to work, initially.

The app keeps closing on me. It's super frustrating. I have deleted it, re-downloaded it, restarted my phone, phone just had a system update. I have an Android. Not sure what the issue is, but this is a problem. I use the app to deposit checks soo can you guys fix this ASAP.
