A Revolutionary anti-censorship decentralized publishing and social platform. Based on the blockchain technology, it runs on a set of computers around the world, not controlled by any single entity. Self-policed by users with good reputation where nobody records your keystrokes, viewing habits or searches.


Censorship resistant
Bastyon fights to remove censorship from the digital world. Too many times we see accounts being blocked or limited, contents removed by the platform or the governments. On Bastyon, not even admins can remove your posts or close your account.

Blockchain based
Bastyon runs on the blockchain. This means that it is decentralized and there is no way to control it and no way to limit access to it. The blockchain is composed of a network of servers all over the world and there is no government that can limit access to it. Bastyon is the "bitcoin" of social medias.

Privacy Protection
Privacy and Security are completely respected. You do not need to use an email or phone number to register. Bastyon does not store any personal data, not even your IP address. We REALLY value your privacy. Your privacy is safe. In addition, hackers cannot enter your account and change your password.


Upload your videos
Bastyon lets you share your posts and videos, Upload them safely, import them from YouTube (contact us so that we can help!), make sure to let them visible to everyone. Forever. No one will be able to remove or ban them.

We believe that privacy and security have to pass through Open Source projects. The entire project is available on GitHub (https://github.com/pocketnetteam/pocketnet.gui) so that you can check that there are no backdoors and that Bastyon is not storing any personal data.

Ratings and reviews

Inconvinient social network. If you rated a post by mistake or you want to change your rating, you cannot undo or change it. You cannot find your friends from your address book. You cannot search people by name and city. Weird non-intuitive GUI. No events module. Why don't you just borrow good things from Facebook (and not borrow the bad ones)?

if app doesn't work after update, you may need to clear your app data. after this you will have to re enter your passphrase

does not work well, almost any other social media seems to function better. so I do not use it much. too frustrating.
