About this app
ITE Sign is a company tool for working with electronic signatures. It is a client of our signing service — without an access token from an administrator it does nothing, and there is no sign-up in the app.
WHAT IT DOES
• Have a document signed — PDF (PAdES), XML (XAdES) or any file (CAdES).
• Add a qualified timestamp. It is on by default. If a timestamp cannot be obtained, no signature is produced at all — better no document than one that pretends to be timestamped and is not.
• Verify someone else's signature by taking it apart: the signature really is parsed, the digest recomputed and the timestamp unpacked. For PDF a second, independent check runs as well.
• Show the history of operations from the audit log.
HOW IT WORKS — AND WHAT THAT MEANS
The server signs, not your device. The file you pick is sent to our server, signed there with a key the server holds, and the result is stored in our archive together with an audit record. The private key is not on your phone and the app never sees it. The timestamping authority receives only the document's digest, never the document itself.
Which key is used is decided by the administrator. The app also lists keys that are not allowed, so that you can see they exist — you cannot pick them. If a certificate is not a qualified one, the app says so explicitly next to the result. The app does not decide the legal effect of a signature; that follows from the certificate the administrator allows.
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
No advertising, no behaviour tracking, no third-party libraries. It connects to no address other than sign.it-enterprise.cloud. It has no access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or your files — apart from the one you pick yourself. Beyond internet access it asks for no sensitive permission.
