About this app

Record a few seconds of anything — a clap, a word, a piano note, a field recording — and run it through ten tape processes drawn from 1960s minimalism.

Two copies of your sample drift apart in stereo. Patterns emerge, dissolve and reassemble, exactly as they did on the reel-to-reel machines of the period — except the wheel shows you what is happening while you listen.

It is a phasing sampler and a generative looper in one: you supply a few seconds, the process supplies the rest.

TEN PROCESSES
• Phasing — the classic two-channel tape drift
• Gradual process — a slow, audible ramp from sparse and quiet to dense and bright
• Tape loop multiplication — copies of the loop fan out across the stereo field
• Rhythmic construction — notes are added one at a time into a fixed cycle
• Pattern substitution — a loop mutates one beat at a time
• Resultant patterns — composite accents reveal the polyrhythm between the rhythms
• Clapping Music — one hand's pattern rotates against the other's fixed one
• Pulse / drone — a pulse grid and a sustained drone floor steady the process
• Canon — imitative voices enter one after another
• Speech melody — the dynamics of a spoken fragment become an instrumental contour

THE WHEEL
Every control is one dial. The outer bezel winds phase drift, process amount or tempo, and fills to show its own position. Both channels are drawn as live rings — magenta left, cyan right — so you can watch the two copies separate, meet, and separate again.

WHAT IT IS FOR
Ambient and experimental sketches. Generative loops that never repeat the same way twice. Polyrhythm and minimalism studied by ear rather than on paper. Turning a field recording into something that plays itself.

Export any take as a stereo WAV.

PRICE
The first 14 days include everything. After that playback stays free forever — the demos, your saved takes, every process and every control. Recording new takes and sharing need a single one-time unlock. No subscription.

No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking.
