About this app

A baby monitor made of two Android phones. Put an older phone by the crib and take the other one with you — around the home or anywhere else.

SOUND IS FREE AND UNLIMITED
Listen all night, as often as you like. No daily limit and no ads.

PRIVACY FIRST
• Sound and video travel encrypted from phone to phone. Nobody else can see the content, not even our server — not even when it relays the connection.
• Nothing is recorded and nothing is stored anywhere.
• No account: the app does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
• When both phones are on the same Wi-Fi, sound and video stay within your home network.
• Everything the server knows about a phone can be deleted with one button in the settings.

IT LETS YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR BABY STIRS
• Alerts arrive even with the app closed and the screen off.
• You choose the sensitivity. The camera measures how quiet the room is on its own, so the same setting works in a quiet bedroom and by a busy street.
• A chart of the last minute shows whether your baby is asleep, restless or crying.

WHAT ELSE IT DOES
• Two parents for one camera.
• Camera status: battery, loudness in the room and how much video is left.
• Melodies and nature sounds played in the room from a distance.
• A photo of the room on request.
• Problems are visible: when the phones cannot connect or the camera stops hearing, the app says so clearly.

WHAT COSTS MONEY
Video is free for 5 minutes a day. With the CribWatch Premium subscription, video is unlimited and sharper, and you can talk to your baby. A subscription belongs to one camera, and several parents can connect to it. You can cancel any time in Google Play.

WHAT YOU NEED
• Two phones with Android 7.0 or newer.
• The phone by the crib needs a camera with hardware H.264 video encoding — practically every phone from recent years has one. The app checks this for you.
• An internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) for the phones to find each other.

CribWatch is not a medical device. It does not monitor breathing or your baby's health and does not replace adult supervision.

What’s new

• The camera and the monitor now check that their app versions are compatible when they connect. If not, both phones say which one to update and offer Google Play. Crying alerts still get through.
• Important: version 15 and older cannot connect to this version — update both phones.
