About this game

★ Top Developer (awarded 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015) ★
AI Factory's Backgammon is the best free Backgammon game on Android!

Backgammon is a game of skill and strategy; one of the world's classic parlour board games, played for recreation and gambling. Like Mahjong, Backgammon is played in social groups in coffee houses and bars. Historically, variants of this game are believed to have been played in Mesopotamia and Egypt thousands of years ago, then by the Romans and later in India. It also spread to East Asia, but was largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is now very popular in the West.

I used to love this game. However, recently, the play has changed. Now, the dice rolls always seem to result in the exact move needed by the computer to bar my pieces. Also, I have had on several occasions all of my pieces on my inner table with many of the computer pieces there as well, only to not receive the needed tools and the computer to have several doubles in a row and win. I used to find this the most equitable backgammon app. Now, it is as faulty and biased as the rest.

You are not alone! It is a common illusion but their is nothing wrong with the dice. You can easily prove that the program does not cheat by running the comprehensive tests we provide. See aifactory.co.uk/bg.htm. Absurdly, all Backgammon programs are accused of cheating... but its very unlikely that any do!

I've loved playing this. It has an amazing and relaxing UI. It's the best backgammon option I've seen for offline play. The only way that this game could be better is if it had online multiplayer. I thought at first that the AI was faking really good dice rolls at higher levels, but this turned out to be false according to the developers' quick and helpful response to my query.

I don't care what the author claims. This game definitely cheats. There are way too many happy coincidences in the CPU's favor for me to believe otherwise. The computer always rolls the exact number it needs to hit you. Once it starts hitting you, it's over. Way too many back to back doubles. When the CPU rolls 9 doubles during the game, the last five in a row bearing off, and you get 0, you know something's not right. Wish I could give it a 0. No more AI Factory for me, this is BS.

A common illusion but nothing wrong with the dice. You can easily prove that the program does not cheat by running the comprehensive tests we provide. See aifactory.co.uk/bg.htm. Many players that accused us of cheating ran the tests and now acknowledge fair play. Absurdly, all Backgammon programs are accused of cheating... but very unlikely any do
