About this game

★ Top Developer (awarded 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015) ★
AI Factory's Backgammon is the best free Backgammon game on Android!

Backgammon is a game of skill and strategy; one of the world's classic parlour board games, played for recreation and gambling. Like Mahjong, Backgammon is played in social groups in coffee houses and bars. Historically, variants of this game are believed to have been played in Mesopotamia and Egypt thousands of years ago, then by the Romans and later in India. It also spread to East Asia, but was largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is now very popular in the West.

It's a fun game, lately you've added a lvl 8 that is much more challenging and smarter and doesn't go too easy on a player for risky moves. But guys!! Please! Making it more challenging doesn't mean biased dice rolls in favor of cpu! I checked overall stats, and believe me I'm not exaggerating! Also, a suggestion. when proposing doubling in a match, isn't it better if it could still be an option for proposer to add a double to it again? It will help many of already decided games to end sooner

The dice are very much random. You can easily prove the dice are fair by running the very comprehensive tests we provide. See aifactory.co.uk/bg.htm. Note all Backgammon programs are accused of cheating, but almost certainly none do. On doubling it is against the rules to allow a player that doubled to double again, until the opponent doubles

The interface is great but the algorithm for computer moves is stupid. Highest level difficulty and the computer makes the dumbest moves. Also when the computer needs a specific roll, it gets it. To the developers, the dice rolls should be 100% random regardless of difficulty level chosen. The difference in difficulty levels should be in the moves made by the computer. Neither of those is true.

Dice throws are 100% random for all levels. Just run the tests that easily prove the program does not cheat or have defective dice. See aifactory.co.uk/bg.htm. Many users who thought it cheated ran these and now ackowledge fair play. Absurdly all Backgammon programs are accused of cheating or defective dice, but almost certainly none do.

It is one of the better ones, but the doubles are completely lopsided. And not on how many I get versus AI, but the total values are really bad. AI currently with a lifetime of over 1,000 more total value on doubles. And it isn't isnt tracked but often times my big doubles come when I am on the bar and can't get off so it's wasted or when I am going to win and it doesn't matter anymore. The AI gets doubles at the most opportune times. AI needs double 6's to catch up and get it.

Thank you for your review but we use an industry standard LCG RNG for random dice rolls. You can very easily and conclusively prove dice rolls are random by running the comprehensive tests we provide. aifactory.co.uk/bg.htm not only explains how to run the tests but also why they prove fair play.
