I'm just a beginner and have found the AI to be decently strong and beating me on a regular basis. I have had an issue however when it miscalculated a ladder, then on its last move it started crashing every time I loaded up the game and I couldn't even abandon the match because it was unable to decide on its next move. I had to uninstall and reinstall to fix. Other than that it's been a fun and challenging way to learn Go.
Good UI, tough enough for beginners. Good game overall like other AI factory board games. Please add support to save games in sgf. Edit: Please also add on screen menu button for android devices with no dedicated menu button on device. Similar to the AI factory chess app.
Learning GO Excellent way to learn.
Needs save and load game in SGF format The interface is easy to use and also pretty. The game does not use the usual GNU Go computer AI. This makes it weaker. But the developer has said an improvement in AI strength is coming. What it needs most (to earn the fifth star) is to be able to save and load a game in SGF format. Then games could be shared after play with friends or the Go Teaching Ladder website.
Great to learn with but kind of weak. I like this app quite a bit since it has all the functionally I could want from a go board in your pocket, but the AI is rather weak. I am only 15kyu AGA and I consistently beat it on the highest difficulty. The AI certainly recognizes the largest move on the board but it doesn't recognize when it is being attacked, so do with that what you will
Great game Fun to learn on. Game don't seem to add in captured stones in to the score. Thanks for the answer
