Childcare.co.uk helps parents seeking childcare connect with local childcare providers such as registered childminders, nannies, babysitters, nurseries and private tutors.

Parents simply choose the type of childcare they are looking for and enter their postcode to see a list of local childcare providers.

Each childcare provider has their own profile so you can read more about them and their services. Childcare provider profiles contain information such as My Qualifications, My Experience, My Availability, My Documents and My Fees together with ratings and reviews from other parents who have used their services.

Over 3 million members have used Childcare.co.uk since the platform launched in 2009.

Ratings and reviews

It costs £24 a month if you want to communicate with other people or get their contact details. It's called gold membership. It automatically sets up as direct debit and there's no option to cancel your membership. The money keeps going out, i just wrote them to ask to cancel my membership. It should be free or much less. 24£ is too expensive.

If you write text, it does not automatically update, it took me a while to figure out how to save the text. Using the App is a good option if you are browsing and looking for information but do not wish to add unknown people on Facebook. If you become a Gold member, you need to pay monthly but this is worth it as you have access to sending messages to more childcare providers (who are also Gold members). It offers some data protection by allowing the user to set a password and sign in and out.

Applied for a while but too limited. Can't message people to show interest. This should be free! I would pay to be noticed more. But I won't pay just to be able to access something like messages when I pay for credit on my phone so if phone numbers were available I would not be paying extra! Please make messaging people free because otherwise I might as well make my per hour more than others just to cover my membership and it's not fair on anyone. It costs you nothing to let people message.
