This was working well. Unfortunately the latest version has "negatively upgraded" so that the grid reference is off the bottom of the screen. It still tells me I am in square SU but I could be in Wimborne Minster or 87 miles away in Amersham. So until this is rectified it is not worth having.
I have a problem since the last update. After using the app (which works fine) then closing it when I've finished, the app is restarting in the background and turning on the GPS which in turn is draining the battery. I have to reboot the phone or block location permission to stop it. Annoying! Any chance you can investigate and fix. (Android V6.0)
Basically it's inaccurate. Out by 40 m and 30 degrees. It's a novelty only but useless when you need a compass. Update: And some apps notify when a calibration is needed. This does not. Also another app i use is accurate regarding height ie agrees with my OS map. Why is it not possible to generate accurate data? Same phone same location different app? now 2 star rating as at least there was a response to my feedback. thank you.
Handy app. However I would like to see a "checking in" button (like a personal location beacon) on the main screen where you can pre program a contact instead of having to share.
Used to like it until I found that it can't be installed on a phone without a compass, surely most people only used this to get a grid ref
Not properly compatible with Passport It is a great app and very useful with a super interface... so long as you are not using it on a BlackBerry Passport with a square screen where the eastings and nor things do not display. (The info is actually there and can be found by sending a message.) I know we Passport users are a minority but it would be cool if the app could be made to display properly on this and similar phones.
