Best replacement for viewranger I have found so far. It is slightly rough round the edges and a more 'basic' experience. However, the key functionality of planning a route on the map, then looking at the route afterwards, being able to sort routes into folders etc works well. Following a route is a bit clunky as it ends up creating a new route rather than a separate 'track' linked to the route, but it works fine. Also beware when downloading maps for offline use you need to stay on the screen.

Generally good but two issues. 1 it doesn't link to the coordinate system used by the paper topo maps it draws data from. So essentially useless when trying to navigate using a coordinate system that has been widely used for decades. 2-the grid overlays don't match the style originally used and this causes distraction and creates risk when navigating. Otherwise 5/5 and recommend. Update - will email you as I'm fairly certain the issue requires a software fix

You can set the coordinate system in the coordinate panel by tapping on the coordinate. Also go to Menu > More settings > Displayed coordinates types and enable your coordinates. In the same way you can choose between various grid overlays. Could you contact, maybe we can help you better in this way.

It's a bit wierd and unfair to charge for maps that are actually provided for free by governments. I'm not sure it is even allowed according to the licenses. For free maps of The Netherlands, checkout the app: Netherlands Topo Maps. For free maps of Switzerland: Swisstopo

The development and maintenance of the Topo GPS app costs money. Also we have to pay for server infrastructure and data transfer. Then, we do not show advertisements and do not collect user data. Therefore we charge a bit for access to the full maps. Most of these maps are indeed provided for free by government organizations.
