About this app

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Train Tracker App allows you to follow the train right on your smartphone! Bike Aboard cyclists can tell where they are and where the train is at any time to determine when and where to board. Display a street map, terrain map, or satellite map of the valley, and zoom in for detail. The app displays the train's current speed, heading, time of the last update, and even allows you to purchase tickets right from your phone.

New! Now you can listen to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park audio tour from your phone! Hear entertaining and interesting stories from the valley's past, and learn about how the park was created and what makes it so unique and special. Audio clips will play at points along your ride, and you can replay the clips or view the transcript along the way.

Note- the audio tour uses your phone's internet access to play the clips. Some phones may have limited coverage in some areas of the park. Your battery will be exhausted faster if you have the audio tour turned on. To turn off the audio tour for the current session, click the speaker icon on the Train Tracker page. Or go to Settings to turn it off for all sessions.

CVSR Train Tracker is an awesome Android app for cell phone that shows locations of the special trains and the normal trains. Iused it for Steam In The Valley 2018. It was a bit tricky to get the train locator dot to show and I had to kill the app and restart a few times. May be the operator and not getting the check marks correct for showing the train – I don’t quite know. The app had problems with locking and becoming unresponsive. Had to kill and restart to recover - many times. The app needs a time table of scheduled departure times at the stations for both regular and special trains.Hopefully the newer version fixes my last year freezing complaints. I'll add a star in hope. I'll use this again in September 2019.

I installed it to track the Steam in the Valley ride I took Sept. 29, 2018. Unfortunately, that trip was not available as a selection. I selected the scenic train which departed about 45 minutes before ours, and that seemed to work OK. Very bummed that the steam trains aren't available to track.

This app is absolutely unnecessary and honestly stupid. It's an app that just takes you right to the website, where the website asks you to get the app... It's ridiculous and just really silly. Don't get the app, just use the website.
