SHARE THE APP, NOT YOUR LOGIN
Help a colleague find Scan Login using the Android share sheet, including WhatsApp, messages or email where available. You can also show a QR code that opens the Google Play listing. These app-sharing options share the store link, not your user ID or password. They are separate from the optional credential backup and restore feature.

WILL IT WORK WITH MY SCANNER?
Your scanner must be able to read a phone screen and support the selected barcode format. Your workplace login system must accept the scanned text. Check compatibility and get your employer's permission before storing work credentials on a personal phone.

Scan Login displays the credentials you provide. It does not bypass login rules, generate one-time passwords or replace multi-factor authentication, security keys or single sign-on.

PRIVACY AND VISIBLE BARCODES
Credentials are stored locally. The main app's credential storage is encrypted; widgets and notifications use a separate, unencrypted copy in Android app-private storage. Android cloud backup is disabled.

A displayed barcode can reveal its contents to anyone who can scan it. Lock-screen access and widgets prioritise convenience, so use them only where your workplace permits and keep your phone under your control. App PIN and biometric checks do not make a visible barcode secret.
