The author tells you everything well over eight times. Everything. Incredibly repititious. Language use is reasonable, the world interesting (albeit derivative). Did I mention the incessant repitition? Left no room for characters or story. There are superior 'fan fiction' novels at a superior price, or read Laurel K Hamilton, Patricia briggs, or even Karen Marie Moning for capable writers in this genre - you've been warned!
