The youthful artist-swordsman Benvenuti Sfondrati-Piccolomini arrived in the city of Goimr just in time for disaster to strike. The only certainty was that he was on a quest the end of which he could not possibly fathom, accompanying a female revolutionary whose beauty was only outdone by her ferocity. Eric Flint is a modern master of alternate history fiction, with three million books in print. He's the author/creator of the multiple New York Times bestselling Ring of Fire series starting with the novel 1632. Flint was for many years a labor union activist. He lives near Chicago, Illinois.
