"The Belt" trilogy by Gerald M. Kilby. Every aspect of these books, read by Steven Jay Cohen, are very enjoyable! Great plot. Some of the plot twists were a bit predictable but overall the story stands up well. Very interesting characters that I cared about. I recommend this book(s).
