I really tired! the audio book is dry because the voices for each character lacks depth. the main character and deacon have the maturity of 14 year olds. it's hard to get into these books now a days when the characters don't really develop. Deacon is how old and he doesn't know a thing about women? I'm not asking for mature content just tired of books making main characters and co. socially awkward people that can't take a hint.

I love this book! Very much a modern fantasy destined to be a timeless classic. The first time I read it was a wonder! I wasn't expecting much from a free ebook, and it totally surprised because it reminded me strongly of all the things that I loved in other favorite fantasy books such as: Lord of the Rings, Rhapsody (by Elizabeth Haydon), books by Anne McCaffrey and Mercedes Lackey. A book that should not be missed - faster paced than the Shannara Chronicles, but with a similar feel.

being the first time I ever paid for a book. this is one of the books I will always pay for.
