About the author

Kathryn "Kitsi" Watterson, the award-winning journalist and author of Women in Prison and Not by the Sword, among other books, previously taught at Princeton University. She currently teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Allyson Johnson began her entertainment career in her hometown of Chicago as an Emmy Award-winning child news anchor. A graduate of Brown University, she is a working actress, singer, and audiobook narrator in the New York City metropolitan area.
