About this audiobook

USA TODAY BESTSELLER

An original novel set in the Halo universe—based on the New York Times bestselling video game series!

A HALO INFINITE STORY

December 2559. Humanity has its back against the wall after the United Nations Space Command flagship Infinity drops out of slipspace into a devastating ambush launched by the Banished. As this fierce enemy alliance seeks to claim a mysterious object hidden within the ancient Forerunner construct known as Zeta Halo, the surviving UNSC corps finds itself compromised and its leadership out of reach—with remaining personnel forced to abandon ship and take their chances on the fractured, unpredictable surface of the Halo ring.

Now survival in this strange, alien environment—whether for Spartan super-soldiers or those who never thought they would see the battle up close—is measured day to day against a relentless and brutal adversary that always has the upper hand. Desperation grows, but the will to keep on fighting and enduring no matter the odds is never in doubt…even as the Banished seek to unleash a frightening new enemy that could doom them all…

Truly the most depressing and sad fictional take of extensive human suffering. They really missed the mark here. There were some good moments involving a few of the characters when they weren't almost dying or being tortured but they were far too few. The narrator also makes you want to cry most the time. He also mixes up his "accents" of certain characters near the end of the book and it's a bit odd. If you don't want to be dreadfully sad I'd skip this one. There isn't enough lore, background, or redeeming moments to make this worth it.

really good story, just wish it would throw more light into what happened to Lasky and blue team. other than that it's fun to play the game after reading the book.

Answered almost 0 Questions. I was really hoping this book would answer more questions about the infinity, laskey, hasley and even the new enemy. did non of these. some good small stories to dead bodies you see in the game. would of been way better in fhe campaign to play or as DLC. Really makes me think 343 has no idea where the story is going.
