I'm Not Ehrynn Rose

Linda Mooney

Narrated by Daniela Acitelli

4 hr 17 min

The body was not hers, and there was the possibility her life could be in jeopardy.

Not feeling well, Nadia Logermeyer, a twenty-eight-year-old dental assistant living in New York City, lies down to rest, only to wake up in the hospital...in Houston, Texas. In someone else's body. With someone else's name. And with someone else's husband.

She has no idea how or why she's now Ehrynn Rose, or why Ehrynn tried to take her own life. All she knows is that as soon as she's able, she needs to return to NYC to find out what happened to her own body.

But that's not the worst of it. She's falling in love with Nash Rose, Ehrynn's husband. Unfortunately, the couple are in the midst of a sticky divorce, and her claims of a body switch are only making things more complicated.

She's not Ehrynn Rose, but it's quickly getting to the point where she'd give anything to be her. It isn't until she discovers the real reason why she tried to commit suicide that she realizes the danger isn't over yet.

It's time for the earth to be cleansed.

Released after eons of being imprisoned and tortured, Aeron and his three brothers are ordered by the remaining old gods to bring the Apocalypse upon the world. Humanity has failed them too many times, and the Reckoning is overdue.

As the deity of the air and sky, it's Aeron's duty to bring about massive storms to wipe out civilization. Tornadoes, hurricanes, lightning - all are at his bidding, and Aeron is more than willing to do whatever he is requested to do. He will mete out the worst he can conjure, as long as it means he'll no longer be bound within the hot, dark confines deep within the bowels of the Earth.

Ceris Shahan is terrified of flying. But when the president of the company demands she be at the summit conference clear across the continent the next day, she has no choice but to take the next plane out. If her phobia wasn't debilitating enough, they run into turbulence that doesn't end. Tossed about, bruised and injured amid the ugly black clouds that continue to engulf them, she and the other passengers soon realize they will not survive.

When Ceris spots a figure outside the window, a man who appears to be standing amid the thunderheads and is surrounded by an aura of light, she starts to doubt her own sanity. Yet, when the man turns to find her staring at him, the look of stunned disbelief on his face is undeniable.

She shouldn't be able to see him, but she can. Realizing what this could mean, Aeron decides to risk everything, even his freedom, to rescue and protect the woman from the annihilation of all mankind.

Taria Cross and LaToya Grey are in their final-year at Morrison State University. Taria is working hard to achieve the career in investigative journalism that she’s always wanted, while Latoya is an aspiring fashion photographer.

On the surface, they seem like nothing more than your typical twenty-two-year-olds – balancing college work, social circles and their plans for the future. Their love lives were going well, too. Taria had Michael, and LaToya had Quinn. Everything was as normal as could be... until Taria’s missing person’s investigation leads them to uncover something mysterious involving Michael and Quinn.

Suddenly, Taria and LaToya find themselves embroiled in a world they never even knew existed. Familiar faces around campus emerge as the victims of two of the most shocking kidnapping and murder cases in history. Clue after clue brings one dead end after another. It’s obvious that Michael and Quinn have a secret they’re hiding, but not for long.

Who is the mastermind behind all this? Could it be Michael? Could it be Quinn? Or is there a third, faceless party who has yet to be revealed? Taria and LaToya face crossroads that put precious lives at stake. Fear, apprehension and regret grip at the hearts and souls of students at Morrison State University. As the clues become more intense and revealing; the danger is around every corner ready to pounce. Can what you don’t know truly hurt you? This cat and mouse game of “who dun it” will take you on a heart-stopping jaw-dropping, nonstop ride of romance, murder, and a peek behind the thin veil of the paranormal world.

Taria and LaToya must accept that things will never be the same. They say change is the only constant in life, but what they don’t tell you is how one can conquer it.

Most of us have heard of ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), so why is it so common for women not to be diagnosed until they are in midlife? While boys manifest their ADHD in hyperactive behaviors, female sufferers tend to internalize their symptoms, contending with anxiety, depression, demoralization, and self-esteem issues. Because of this, a woman's diagnosis often comes later on, with the realization that she is just not coping with life, work, and relationships as well as she should be. She's not meeting anyone's expectations, certainly not her own. So much has been discovered in the last ten years about ADHD in girls and women, but a lot of it's still not commonly known. Awareness of your symptoms is the key to change, and it all begins with self-awareness.

Novelist Gabriella West is refreshingly candid about her journey towards a diagnosis of ADHD, which started a few years ago when she encouraged her female partner to get a diagnosis. She uncovers a family history of the disorder, looking back at her own mother's life as a divorced American in Ireland in the 1970s. In Connecting the Dots she highlights common symptoms that women with inattentive-type ADHD experience, and shows that although getting a diagnosis is not necessarily easy, the relief of finding an explanation for things that previously just seemed "wrong" is enormous and healing. (Approx. 8500 words--including appendices that offer the scoop on the current range of ADHD meds, a checklist of symptoms for inattentive ADD, and an added section on ADD and creativity.)
