These myths and legends are what ancient people lived and died by and have inspired the greatest works of art and literature in the world. A person does not need to be a student of the classics to benefit from and enjoy this thoughtful work. It is not simply a repeat of the old legends but a handbook to understanding ancient Greek and Roman life with the intent of enabling us to see their gods and goddesses as they did.
