About this audiobook

In this unforgettable conclusion to Nancy Kress’ groundbreaking trilogy which began with the Nebula Award–winning Beggars in Spain, it is now two hundred years in the future. Regular human beings hate and fear the Sleepless and the SuperSleepless, genetically modified humans who are immune to disease and hunger and do not need to sleep. When the Sleepless plot to take over the world and leave regular humans powerless, civilization and the very meaning of the word “human” hang in the balance.

I loved the first book in this series. the second one not so much, way too much soap opera cheesy dialogue and not enough scifi material or much for thw brain to work on at all. this third one, i just barely could pay attention to it. The one narrators voice gets old very fast. the story is meaningless and predictable. very predictable. the plot unfolds very slowly, or it feels slow because youve heard the same stuff in 100 other YA novels. most of the dialogue was unbearably cringe. Why do so many female authors think that people casually bite holes that bleed drops of blood in their lower lips without ther noticing it? very dumb, but in many books, comics, and bottom denominator YA adapted movies. for a series about class strife and universal basic income, i do not believe the author has ever read an economics book in her life. this didnt need to be a trilogy, Beggers in Spain was brilliant on it's own.
