I'm beginning to see a pattern in these Odette C Bell books. She seems to like the main character a female with magic powers and dumb. If anyone discovered they had magical powers and found a nice kind person who would teach them and protect them, why on earth would that person keep running away from the only hope they have? If Odette's books weren't so cheap I would never listen to another one. But I'm on a budget and I keep hoping the characters will get smarter. 😩
