A Quite Interesting premise, but quite a bit of "padding" of the overall book – to me that is, other listeners/readers may judge as they see fit. Or maybe that's the rub, as they used to say when me Dad was a lad! - See, even I can do padding! Maybe if I had read the book, I'd have felt differently, given that the "narrator's voice" in one's head suits each of us perfectly. And that was another mistake! I'm usually quite good at weeding out the "Auto-narrated" books - especially in the categories of books which offer the 1st book "Free" from a 4 or 5 volume Series! Unfortunately by the time I'd got the "speed" & volume sorted AR (Artificial Reader - which suits much better than A.Intelligence!) "MARY" was alreadystarted! However I doubt anyone who isn't an actor would have fared much better - especially in a "switch-hitter" narrative, made worse by having female & male "leads"! So NO! then, AR.Mary couldn't cut it and neither will 4 books when 2 would suffice. 🤔🍀POD☘️🫡

I was going to give 4 star as it was a slow start but getting more I to the story was more gripping
