About this audiobook

In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.

Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.

We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.

Now, she’s back—and this is the real kicker—she has amnesia and thinks I’m still her husband. Technically I am, although the divorce papers are sitting at the lawyer’s office.

She’s desperate to remember her life in Sunrise Bay but I only want to find out why she left me. Once we conjure that memory up, it’s sayonara because there’s no second chances here. But as you probably already figured out, things didn’t go quite as I planned.

Rating: 4.5 Stars Some people don’t like a book that’s told in the first person. In this case I felt it was necessary so that we get more of a personal experience of the main characters. This latest book from Piper Rayne is different from any other book I’ve read so far. It seems more personal and more intimate. Usually, the books are full of laughs that help to move their stories along. This latest gets into how two people are learning to reconnect. Lucy has come home to find herself and relearn the world she left behind. Adam is what was left behind but doesn’t understand why. It was a great look at a second first chance. It was two people reconnecting with what all seems like a new life. Our authors always know what is needed to show us the heat these two have for the other. Two people that help the authors are the narrating pair of Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose. They help to add the emotions and feelings that each character are going through. But they also give life to the secondary characters that have a voice as well – both the good and the bad. If you already have the book, this audio version is a great compliment. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

"I'm in. You've always been mine, Lucy Greene. I've fought for you my entire life and I'm not giving up on us yet." ⁣ A fun and emotional second chance romance with all the feels and family hijinks everyone loves. ⁣ Adam and Lucy were high school sweethearts, so when Lucy walks out on Adam he is confused. A year later while in the middle of a crowded bar, Lucy walks back into Adam's life and acts as if they are still the happy couple they always were. Lucy has amnesia and wants to remember her life in Sunrise Bay and Adam is determined to find out why she left him so he agrees to help her figure everything out. ⁣ Heading back to Alaska is always a fun time. There are always bound to be some hijinks between Ethel and Dori. We got a lot more from Ethel and Dori in this book. You could sense the love and passion between Adam and Lucy even with Adam trying to deny them. This book was a little deeper than the other books especially when they finally realize why Lucy left in the first place. I am really enjoying this new series and after the ending, I am highly looking forward to the next book in the series. ⁣ Audio: A great job by Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose bringing the story and characters to life.

Second chance/Amnesia Piper Rayne has upped the storyline with Adam and Lucy's story. Adam and Lucy were childhood friends who married and were really happy until a year ago when Lucy just walked out saying she was unhappy. Adam hadn't heard anything until Lucy comes into his brother's bar and thinks they are still together. Lucy's mom explains to Adam that Lucy had an accident and lost her memory and thinks they are still together. Will Adam be able to handle Lucy coming back and maybe not getting her memory back on why she left? Lucy remembers certain old memories but not more recent ones. One thing is certain that they both love each other but will that be enough to rekindle their marriage? I listened to the audio and read the e-book and they are fantastic. Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose were wonderful as Adam and Lucy. The epilogue was so wonderful that it brought tears to my eyes. As usual, I'm looking forward to the next Greene sibling story and it can't come fast enough. I'm leaving my honest review.
