ORIGINAL REVIEW: 4.5 stars — and maybe part of the reason I rate it so highly is that I wasn’t sure if I would like this book. I had it on my wishlist a long time ago b/c of a giveaway I entered, so by the time it went on sale and I got it and started reading it, I had kind of forgotten a lot of the details of the description, so everything was a surprise. I tend to shy away from historicals and from books set entirely in different worlds. For some reason I have found I need that touchstone with
