This isn’t just another supernatural/paranormal romance. It’s also a story of family, where Rachel is in search of her sister, and finds a group of people who choose her as their family along the way. The connection she has with Venn is instant and undeniable. It’s balanced with a good amount of action and tender moments. I even laughed a few times. I love supernatural story’s, and this has shifters, witchcraft and vampires all in the mix. The ending is just the start of the next adventure.

I already knew this author was talented but she outdid herself with this outstanding new series. The book starts off action packed and it takes you in a rollercoaster ride from beginning to conclusion. It was impossible to put down and I enjoyed every minute of it. Narration was excellent and brought the story to life. The story is full of vampires, witches, and shifters. A new Urban Fantasy world packed with lots of action and plot twists. There is also a touch a romance which is the icing on the cake for me. The story concludes too soon but I’m looking forward to finding out what will happen next. This is an amazing start to a great series.

Rachel is a raven shifter and a low witch. She is constantly on the hunt for Vampires. One evening while Rae is hunting soulless she encounters Venn. This mystery guy we find out is a wolf shifter. A very protective wolf shifter. Together they go on the hunt for the soulless and it is a intense ride. The fighting scenes are great, and the mystery surrounding her sisters kidnapping leaves the readers wondering if Rae will find her sister. On this journey we see Venn encouraging Rae on her skills and to practice more and we see Rae who has always second guess herself slowly believe in herself. Looking forward to listening the next installment. I did listen to the audiobook narrated by, Candice Joice. I listened to her at a faster pace of 1.8 and I found her enjoyable. I felt like she portrayed all the characters and used different voice for all of them. Was able to enjoy her narrating the story.
