Previously he was deputy editorial page editor and op-ed page editor of the New York Times and a senior presidential speechwriter in the Clinton administration. He is the coauthor, with Will Schwalbe, of Send: Why People Email So Badly and How to Do It Better. He lives in New York.

Will Schwalbe has worked in publishing; digital media, as the founder and CEO of Cookstr.com; and as a journalist, writing for various publications, including The New York Times and the South China Morning Post. He is on the board of the Kingsborough Community College Foundation.
