No one knows for certain what caused the Shadow to come into existence. Clerics say it was the gods laying a curse upon this world. Alexey Osadchuk was an avid reader from an early age, devouring adventure novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jack London, and Arthur Conan Doyle. His first fantasy novel was published in 2010 by Alpha Book, one of Russia's leading publishing houses. Originally from the Ukraine, Alexey currently lives in the south of Spain.

Ryan Burke is Canadian, his parents and extended family are Australian, and he lives in America, pursuing a career in entertainment. His eclectic background is reflected by his career. Having worked in both Canada and the US as an actor, producer, and stuntman, he now works as a voice-over artist and audiobook narrator.
