About this audiobook

Cinderella retold: Fae, vampires, shifters, and a Godmother who’ll grant you any wish—if you pay the price.

For human slave Elle, it’s just another night of breaking her stepmother’s rules and sneaking out. Another night of using her unique skills for clients who want to ... forget.

Get the job done. Get paid. Move one step closer to legitimately buying a wish.

But when Elle runs face-first into a charming and handsome faerie—and then ends up in the clutches of a vampire—her usual fly-under-the-radar plans are knocked off course.

Yes, this IS a version of Cinderella with all the awful to lead to an eventual HEA. There is the added bonus of a mystery. This is only part one, so no happiness-- yet. The narrator is very good. Giving belivable amounts of emotion without being a ham. Will definately read/listen to the rest as my book budget allows. I appriciate that I own the file so can refresh my memory by rereading if necessary. An important thing for dyslexic readers like me.

Good world building and nice retelling With fae magic and vampires, and Elle being a normal human in the whole story, the story starts with a new spin on the Cinderella story. The story ends on a cliffhanger as it shows how Elle met Dex, but the world building in the world of magic was enjoyable. I heard the audio book and enjoyed it.

A decidedly odd experience I wouldn't call it bad but it is by no means good. It has some intriguing plot points and sets up well for sequels the character motivations are believable the main character is written competently my one gripe (and this affects the sequels more) is how short it is now for free I don't mind it is written well enough that I would even pay 3-4 dollars but anymore than that's just seen like a waste. I feel like the author wanted to get this out the door quickly and decided to have a trilogy of novellas as opposed to a full length novel.
