Judge Hardy began his law enforcement career as a Chicago police officer, October 22nd, 1973. He was promoted to investigator- detective and assigned to The Area #2 Youth Division, which is now named, Special Victims Unit. In November of 1990, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. During his tenure, he served as a watch commander in the public housing units, which encompassed the Cabrini Green Housing Projects. Before retiring in 2001, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement Management from Calumet College of Saint Joseph and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. Judge Hardy currently teaches Criminal Justice at a community college in Phoenix, Arizona.
