Synopsis

The year is 2012, Luis Oden is about to graduate as an Aerospace Engineer and he expects to be chosen to participate in the ambitious Project Hermes, to develop a new generation of space shuttles in the new European Aerospace Center of Seville, Spain. His life is seemingly perfect until he begins to suffer recurring nightmares where mighty beasts, that seem to come from the Norse mythology, assault and torture him urging him to wake up. But wake up to what?

Meanwhile, Jack Preston, a Lieutenant Colonel from the USAF and responsible for the tests of the X-56 Phoenix, a prototype of an orbital superiority combat jet fighter, is sent together with his crew to Seville to review the development of the Hermes program. There he will meet Luis when they are chosen to star the parachuting exhibition for the Columbus Day.

Both Luis and Preston ignore it, but a dark menace is coming and only their choices will be able to give a chance to humanity to survive.

not bad. audio generated voice is great but as is usual, words with two or more pronunciations are always spoken in the wrong context-every time! It almost seems deliberate. Like "lives, bow, Dr. (as in a Doctor, or a street called a Drive) etc. You'd think the law of averages would make it pronounce a word in its intended pronunciation, but you'd be sadly mistaken. Otherwise I would rate many audio generated voices as 5☆-including the story, plot, characters & overall content-intellectual &/or emotional response rating but sadly we will be frustrated by poor spelling, grammar & pronunciations even with auto spelling, grammar & voice algorithms not to mention editing & proof reading! If the author or publisher even worry about those minor details just like most schools do with handwriting neatness, ratio of letters & words these days since handwriting is dying out like printed hard copy books & socialising face to face in the flesh, not using some electronic medium.

An exceptional book for anyone who loves fiction... Moreover I liked the way the author gave the detailed description of the EAC and airforce operations. These things with aerospace and airforce really fascinates me...... So to conclude I would say it is a must hear audiobook. Though the first two chapters were a bit confusing but as the story progressed it was hard to put my earphones down. The tragedy with Louis while sky diving at independence day really brought tears to my eyes.
