About this audiobook

The Great Time War has raged for centuries, ravaging the universe. Scores of human colony planets are now overrun by Dalek occupation forces. A weary, angry Doctor leads a flotilla of Battle TARDISes against the Dalek stronghold but in the midst of the carnage, the Doctor's TARDIS crashes to a planet below: Moldox. As the Doctor is trapped in an apocalyptic landscape, Dalek patrols roam amongst the wreckage, rounding up the remaining civilians. But why haven't the Daleks simply killed the humans? Searching for answers the Doctor meets 'Cinder', a young Dalek hunter. Their struggles to discover the Dalek plan take them from the ruins of Moldox to the halls of Gallifrey, and set in motion a chain of events that will change everything. And everyone. Read by Nicholas Briggs, the 'voice of the Daleks' in Doctor Who, this epic novel of the Great Time War features the War Doctor as played by John Hurt in the hit BBC TV series.

Reading produced by Neil Gardner.
Sound design by Simon Hunt.
Executive producer: Michael Stevens.

This is an absolutely brilliant book which bridges the gap between Genesis of the Daleks and Day of the Doctor via the Five Doctors. The story is very engaging and it makes a lot of sense while paying lip-service to fanbases all over the place. I've read the eBook of this before (and it's brilliant) but I was surprised at how much better it is with Nicholas Brigg's voice and the sound effects. He does a very good John Hurt and an excellent Rassilon... and of course, his dalek voices are spot-on. By the end of the book, you'll have a deep understanding of why the words "No More" were so appropriate for the 50th Anniversary special. ... and there's a few surprises in store too. A must read. Arguably the most important Doctor Who book there is.

With an impression of the war doctor close enough to not mind, this audio book delivers an interesting tale of the daleks new weapon that essentially erases a person or object from history! It's worth a read, or listen, and is a worthwhile purchases for invested Dr Who fans

I enjoyed this audio book. The bbc should film the war doctor and make it for a 15 rated audience.
