This incredible version of the Bible has transformed my reading of Scripture. I can listen to it in the car, on walks in parks, while riding a bike, etc. The cast, including familiar actors like Denzel Washington, Cuba Gooding Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, & LL Cool J, is phenomenal. The music and sound effects help the Scriptures to come alive even more. It's no wonder that this book is the best selling audio Bible and has won so many awards, including "Audies Audiobook of the Year honors (the highest honor of the Audio Publisher’s Association)". Another reviewer mentioned something about having to fumble around to find passages, but I wonder if that is specific to the device he is using. In my version, which I also got on CD's years ago, that is not an issue and it's easy to find individual chapters with a search, such as "Psalm 1".

There are more negative then positive. I really would like to see The King James Version, for myself. I rely on The Holy Ghost to teach, lead, and and guide. I don't require someone's elses words or interruptions to tell me what Jesus is saying. The bible tells us, in the book of Revelation to not add or take away from this book(the whole) Bible. GOD has a reason for that command, so that we may rely on The Holy Ghost and not our own selves. Obedience is better then sacrifice!

I listened to the old test. I found it quite captivating. I understand people would like to know chapter and verse. That is easy, after you listen to the book or chapter then let the holyghost lead you to pick up your bible and read the same chapter(s) and book. This is to give you a visual mental picture of what is going on. It is great for people like me. My mind wanders when I'm reading so this helps draw me in and I fell like I'm right there in the middle of all the action.
