This is the first of Nikki Haverstock’s books that I have read. Being the first in the series, it was a great place to begin. Trying to move on from her former life, Di takes a job as a tech consultant and moves to an archery facility her bestie runs. Her first night there, she stumbles across the dead body of a former college teammate. Her and her new roommate, Mary decide to snoop around and see if they can solve the mystery. The chase of characters are great. Their individual personalities shine in each chapter. It was a fun book. My husband is an avid hunter so I am around bows and archery, but I had no idea what the world of competitive archery entailed. Nikki made sure to explain all the technicalities of it all in order for a clueless reader to understand. Can’t wait for the next adventure Di has.

I was provided a free audio book by the author, what follows is an honest review. A cute cozy mystery. If you do not know what cozy means, no sex, low body count, clean talk. It does suffer with the one thing I find in most cozy mysteries. The thing that reveals the killer is always something that happens just before the killer is revealed. That being said, it was a good set of character development and felt I was right their in the story. Clean, safe for everyone.

This was an amazing cozy mystery. I enjoyed all the characters but Moo may be the favorite! I do not know anything about archery so it was cool to learn about it as the mystery developed. The humor in the story was able to shine with the author reading this herself. Highly recommend!
