In SLAVE, WARRIOR, QUEEN (OF CROWNS AND GLORY--BOOK 1), 17 year old Ceres, a beautiful, poor girl in the Empire city of Delos, lives the harsh and unforgiving life of a commoner. By day she delivers her father’s forged weapons to the palace training grounds, and by night she secretly trains with them, yearning to be a warrior in a land where girls are forbidden to fight. With her pending sale to slavehood, she is desperate.18 year old Prince Thanos despises everything his royal family stands for. He abhors their harsh treatment of the masses, especially the brutal competition—The Killings—that lies at the heart of the city. He yearns to break free from the restraints of his upbringing, yet he, a fine warrior, sees no way out.

I've been an avid reader all my life. Even as a young teen.(which I presume this book is for, or younger). Even at that age I still would have given it the same review. Extremely bland book. It lacks anything about the land, people, types of animals, an so on. Without any description of these things, it makes for an very bad book. This goes for all Morgan Rices books. I would have expected better since this is a bait book. All the books are the same, bad home , run away, discover magical powers, get into the castle, find love there, etc. in only 2to3 days. I only downloaded them because the 1st book was free. 1 positive thing I can give is the narrator, he did try to 'help' the books characters. To bad the rating system starts at 1. To me it is 0..

The writing is truly mediocre and the narrator sounds anguished. I would be too if I had to read this drivel aloud. Giving it 2 stars for all the laughs it brought me. It's genuinely very fun to critique this. "They came in like a sudden army," "they" being... the army. I haven't heard metaphor work like this since high school. Keep up the bad work, because I'm having a great time.

brilliant book. needs editing. Someone needs to teach narrator to talk with different tones, although it does add to the character of the book. I don't think it means to be bland but to have a certain umm X. I can't think of the word/s.
