交通部為使本規範周全並期早日頒布實施，遂於106年12月委託社團法人中華軌道車輛工業發展協會辦理複審作業，邀集國內各學者、專家組成審查委員會，針對本規範修正草案逐條審查，歷經六次審查會議，逐條研商討論，獲致共識，始克定案。 藉由凝聚臺灣過去十餘年所累積之軌道養護實務經驗及國內產、官、學各界軌道專家意見，檢討並更新現有規範內容以及修訂不合時宜部份，使之與時俱進，本次修正條文涵蓋全規範包含「總則」、「舖設」、「養護」及「附則」等四章節，以符1067公厘軌距之國內鐵路營運機關(構)所需。
