班傑明．葛拉漢 (Benjamin Graham)╱（1894-1976）是公認的價值投資之父。葛拉漢出生於倫敦，幼時隨家人移民美國。從哥倫比亞大學畢業以後，葛拉漢進入一家華爾街的投資合夥公司擔任盤價登記員。不久之後，葛拉漢就開始替公司做財務分析，並且成為公司的合夥人，25歲時的年收入就已經超過50萬美元。1929年的股市大崩盤使葛拉漢賠上了所有家當，但是他仍然留在投資業。1934年，葛拉漢和同樣畢業於哥倫比亞大學的大衛．陶德（David Dodd）合著了《證券分析》（Security Analysis）一書，倡導內在價值的概念。葛拉漢在1949年出版了《智慧型股票投資人》（The Intelligent Investor），把自己的思想濃縮，告訴讀者怎麼成為成功的投資人。葛拉漢在1976年過世前，仍然活躍於投資界。
